About Me
Hello, I'm Tim and I live in Las Vegas, city of free parking, legal prostitution and something to do 24/7. The summers may be really hot, but being born and raised in this city and having most of my friends & family here makes it hard for me to wanna leave.
I was one of them smart kids that attended the gifted education class in elementary school. Apparently, I was so smart, that the school had me draw an architectural map of their courtyard to show off my skill, and so they could get free courtyard furniture. I also taught a 5th grade class about how arcade game machines worked when I was in 4th grade. I've always been into music, and I was in the talent show 4 out of 5 years. I missed out in 4th grade because Forgot About Dre just wasn't appropriate I guess.
I was a dork no one knew when I was in 6th grade, but in 7th grade when I transferred schools, I became the shit. I was this little Caucasian kid that hung out with all the Asians, rocking my Ecko and hanging out at arcades every weekend. I was always out and about, being a DDR master and jocking the ladies. That was a fun phase, the 4+ years it lasted. Even though I was always busy being a pimp, I managed to keep in touch with my interest in performing arts, and I starred in a couple plays. I also sang like a jolly boy for 5 years in the advanced school choirs and I played keys for a band. Then, I stopped going to high school.
Future Web Designer?
When I was in 4th grade, I started using this animation program called Flash, back when it was owned by Macromedia. I picked up how to use it on my own and started drawing and animating short films with music and sound. By middle school, I had picked up Photoshop basics and some programming in Flash, with hardly any research. I used to go on another social network called NeoPets and would charge people mad NeoPet currency in exchange for custom banners for their websites and NeoPet pages. Since I only had little and basic knowledge of Flash and Photoshop, all I'd do with my techy talents were related to blogging and banners. Then I met someone that introduced me to making real money out of my talents instead of NeoPoints, so I've been a freelance graphic designer ever since.
Stuck On Pause
Business grew, I got to work on my own schedule at 18, and I was living life, but over two years have passed, and things have been slow lately. I'm no longer out and about like I always was and I've been lacking the desire to accomplish things. I'm not sure why this is, but I'm trying to figure that out now. Maybe when I figure out how to get my act together, I'll be able to keep pursuing graphic design, or maybe get into something totally different. We'll see.
This is me doing my Kanye impression. I need a new picture.
